Join VREC for activities. Learn more about how to improve our overall well-being through a variety of complimentary programs. Each month new programs are added to bring upon new experiences and techniques to aid in recovery. The following are explanations of events, reserve your seat or timeslot or classes may be cancelled: NOTE the change to closing times on some days due to functions outside of the facility.
o        Birthday Potluck: Each month VREC celebrates the birthdays of the month with a potluck meal. 
o        White Elephant and Gift Exchange: Bring a $20 value wrapped gift to exchange in a fun game. 
o        Closed group or Private/Only events: Not open to others outside of the specific group. 
o        Coffee Creations: come for coffee and let your inspiration soar with crafting projects.  
o        Community Events free for the community to connect with resources: 
o   Angel of Hope Vigil at Sartell Community Center on 12/06 at 6:30p. Come join for a walk to honor loved ones who have passed away.  
o   Connie Lee at Eagles Healing Nest: Connie Lee is a country singer and has two different times for shows at 1 or 3p on 12/11. Meet at VREC by Noon to caravan up.  
o   VREC presents at Whitney Center on 12/08 at 10a. Listen to Kerri speak about VREC. 
o        Dream Catchers: Create one for yourself or make one for Rosie’s Boutique.
o        Essential Oils: Learn how to use essential oils in everyday life.  This month Oils to build Immunity.  
o        Fly Tying: Learn how to make fly ties to go fishing.  
o        Fundraisers: Activities to raise funds to improve the lives of our Veterans and their families. 
o   Toys for Tots: Donate toys for boys and girls who are underprivileged thru December 15th.  
o   Giving Tree sponsor a Military Family: Sponsor a military family by selecting a bulb and purchase needed suggested items. Fill VREC Kids Xmas Stockings with donated gifts.
o   Gift Wrapping for Donations: Bring Christmas gifts to VREC to have wrapped. Service provided for donations and per items chosen. Some days will feature LIVE MUSIC. 
o   Meat raffles: Join VREC CREW - If you want to volunteer to work, let us know. 
o        Game Day/Night = Learn = Funday....come play games learned. Game instruction on games like: Cribbage, Farkle, Bunco, Blurt, Spades, Euchre, Phase 10, Poker, etc. Sober Pool/Dart Tournaments 
o        Grief Warrior support: Bri's Lodge, Wednesdays 2-4p ...if you've ever lost someone close, you may benefit from having a conversation. Learn to handle the stress of loss. 
o        Health Care Directives (HCD) facilitated by Light The Legacy by appointment at VREC. Otherwise, 1st or 3rd Tuesday, 11am Whitney Center or 4th Monday, 10am Sartell Senior Center. 
o        Healing Touch therapy: practitioners available for healing thru energy work. Free - 1 hour sessions and
o        learn Self-Chakra Connection immediately following each Yoga session.
o        Horse Therapy at Gaits of Hope: Fall in Friday, 1st Friday of the month depart VREC @ 8:30a sharp.
o        Holiday Crafting: 
o   6th-Bows, 7th-Snowmen Soup, 7th-Ornaments, 12th-Holiday Sleighs, 13th-Christmas Trees out of Styrofoam and buttons, 14th-Holiday Crafting on Wood and many other surprises.
o        Hot Cocoa Day: Camaraderie with a cup of hot cocoa 
o        Massage Therapy/Reflexology: Targeted massage free ½ hour sessions by massage therapists 
o        Open Crafting: VREC open for activities and community center camaraderie. 
o        Phone Apps: Not Tech Savy...Learn how to download applications (apps) & other basic information 
o        Private Groups: This is a closed group for those who are part of the activity or meeting. 
o        Self-Defense: Learn how to defend off strangers and protect yourself.
o        Sewing Project: Ongoing.... make Christmas stockings, bags, and other crafty inspirations. 
o        Veteran’s Outreach Program: Assistance is needed to help Veterans move and/or get organized in their
home or for much needed camaraderie as part of our outreach program.  
o        Vision Board: poster-sized visual representation of your goals-contain all kinds of images and text to
represent something you're trying to accomplish. Bring own images of items you want in your life. 
o        VREC Board of Directors (BOD): will convene for monthly operational meeting. Closed Group. 
o        Yoga: Program of Gentle Yoga/meditation in chairs and advancing as able, 1/2hr quiet time with self-
chakra connection immediately following, please enter the facility quietly during this timeframe.  
o        Wood Projects: cabinet doors, wood scraps, picture frames available & /or Make it Mac's Makerspace:
full woodshop/creative space, 3D laser printer and more 2803 Clearwater Rd, StC 
o        Xmas Tree Decorating: help us decorate our Christmas tree and building. ALL HANDS ON DECK!
